Alright friends,

I'd like to start by saying that I've got internet up and running at the pad now, and because of this, updates will be longer, harder, and thrusted at you with much more force than ever before!

With that being said, I'd like to announce some exciting updates:

As a lot of you have known, LICKER has gone through many changes over this last year. I've moved to a new city and abandoned all of my previous members who had all mysteriously disappeared under strange circumstances. Mitch was put into a witness protection program, Kevin discovered the matrix, and Randy went on maternal leave for an unspecified duration. Obviously, I had to make some changes to the music. I've posted what I hope to be the prototype for our new sound, capitalizing on previous successes and learning from past mistakes. As a musician, I feel it best to not dwell too heavily on past creations; setting my eyes to the future, so that my art may blossom like puberty in your ears!

Please check out "Celebrity Politics"  at the main page. I'd love to know what you guys think.

LYRICS can be found here.

And speaking of not dwelling on the past, the OJ Dingo EP is now available on iTunes! Buying LICKER has never been easier! Just open your iTunes, go to the store, search "OJ Dingo," and click BUY. Only $5.94! DO IT, DO IT NOW.

Lastly, CLICK HERE if you'd like to read my awesome review of the latest summer blockbuster, PIRANHA 3D.

Licker: OJ Dingo - EP

This is the second EP recorded by the grunge-pop powerhouse LICKER. These songs were lovingly written between 2008 and 2009 by the 90s by-products Gordon Vanguard (the prolific songwriter) and Mitch Fedie (who plays with his guitar like he does a woman) with the help of Randall Zidones on bass, and Kevin Anhut on drums. Tracked at IPR studios and produced at Droptone Studio.

These recordings are made up of three years worth of sweat, tears, smiles, and blood (I frequently injured myself on stage). These songs were made with love and passion that I am honored to be able to share with the world.

If you have ever enjoyed catchy music, grunge/alternative, the 90s, cinema, or just rockin' out, then this ones for you!

Tracks:

1. Kerouac

2. Stupid Girl

3. Regeneration

4. Pregnant Brain

5. Back to the Future

6. Vincent Price is Right (Bonus Track)

(Copyright 2010)

Also, check out the updated LICKER Store for other available products!

Hey dudes and dudettes,

Been a couple weeks now, and I got a few sweet things to report.

New downloadable music has been posted, we've got:

- "Believe it or Not" cover, as made famous by the 80s sitcom, "The Greatest American Hero."

- Songs from two of my older bands, HATCH, and League of Friends are available along with band retrospectives.

I got a great email from Stephen over at Droptone Studio, saying that our songs from the upcoming EP are FINISHED!!! I am working on getting these published and will be uploading one of them on the site this week so you can hear what took us a friggin year to make.

I got a ton more work to do, so I'm gonna get back on that. Keep checking out the site for new BLOGS and music!

Hey y'all. Just wanted to let everyone know real quick that I posted three new songs on the site today. They're from one of my rockin' high school bands, HATCH, and the songs still hold up today, so be sure to check them out! Also, a new video has been posted: Lady Frankenstein, which is one of my favorite smutty horror films from the 70s. I hope you enjoy!

Check back in a few days for a new blog, film reviews, and details on my cover of "Believe it or Not." Other songs from my older projects might stumble aboard soon as well.

Thanks for reading.

Dear Internet,

Grab the nearest bucket, cause below is news so awesome you'll wanna barf!

Our MOVIE SECTION is now up and running. Check it out to read all sorts of a- and b- film reviews with their original trailers and poster art (I watch a lot of horror, among other things, updated very frequently!), as well as an ever expanding collection of sci fi/horror public domain films! Right now I've got: Plan 9 from Outer Space, Invasion of the Bee Girls, Sweeney Todd (1936), Embryo, and Horror Express, plus many more to come! Watch them all for free!

Secondly, I finally found a working program to get a whole bunch of LICKER songs off my ipod and on to the PC, so you guys won't have to wait for my mac to get fixed to enjoy! Check out 10 newly uploaded songs in the MUSIC SECTION. Included are tracks from our early live performance at the now defunct Uptown Bar in Mpls, two more original demos, plus three rough mixes of the songs that did not make the cut off our new upcoming EP (proof that it does exist and that I haven't just been jerking you all off for the past 8 months!).

I've changed the format of the site too, as you've probably noticed, making it a little easier to look around.

This week I plan on finishing my cover of "Believe it or Not" for The Cinema Snob, as well as the possible leak of a never before heard song from our upcoming EP!

Dear Internet,

The long awaited "Disco Bloodbath" track is now up for free download! Recorded by professional Kyle Benson, this song has been around for a very long time in my life, and I'm happy to release this track as a prelude to the developing cycle of our lovely Chicago LICKER. Please download it, show it to your friends, make love to it.

I'm very happy to announce that LICKER has recruited two new members!  We've got Jon Phillips on the drum kit, and Kyle Benson filling in on bass guitar. We've just had our first official practice today, the first of many. No word yet on when we're gonna record, but since Kyle has just started his job at Space in Evanston, I anticipate them sounding quite sultry. I am still on the lookout for that elusive lead guitarist who I believe may have been kidnapped and held hostage for the past 8 months that I've been living in this city. If you believe that you may be this guitarist and had forgotten your kidnapping, please send me a message so that I can claim my ransom money on my tax write-off.

Anyway, first movie review is coming this week. additional older tracks being posted this weekend. For a good time, call 612-501-9672.

Dear Internet,

I haven't updated in about ten days, which i should probably be castrated for. However, I had my birthday this weekend and it was super fun. Thank you to everyone who could make it out and to everyone who dropped me a line. You all are my support and I wouldn't be the person I am today without your help, so you only have yourselves to blame.

Secondly, if anyone is going to go out tomorrow, be sure to check out the TROPICO and catch me doing some songs for the open-mic they do there. Michael Knutson, Jew Grass, and possibly my other project, Respect Police, will be performing. Music will probably start around 10!

Thirdly, LICKER might have its first Chicago show in about a month, even if it is just me and my drum machine. I'm setting some things up with my boys at Roadhouse 66 which I'm sure will be a blast. It very well may be the best bar in the universe.

New songs still coming.... Between my computer still being fixed and Steve at Droptone working day and night on the new tracks, there's not a lot I can put up. However, a new version of Disco Bloodbath has been recorded and WILL BE POSTED THIS FRIDAY or god strike me down.

Hey y'all. Remember those songs LICKER did eight months ago that never got released? Well, the finishing mixes will be getting done this week by our friends over at Droptone Studio this week. It may take some time to get released depending on how much time we spend on getting them mastered. I don't think many of you are gonna lose sleep over this anyway.

These songs are: Kerouac, Regeneration, Stupid Girl, Pregnant Brain, and Back to the Future.

Let's see....

LICKER mpls are busy at the studio starting work on their songs. The demos are sounding fantastic, so I think I'm gonna post a song or two of those tomorrow.

LICKER Chicago is still on the hunt for members, especially a drummer... who isn't in three bands already.

I think I'm gonna turn the autoplay on, and see if anyone complains.

I'm gonna start posting movie reviews too.
